At The Twisted Hop Brewery we proudly specialise in brewing English style cask conditioned real ales.

Recently relocated from our central city location following the 2011 earthquake, the new brewery in Wigram, Christchurch now brews for The Woolston Hop as well as quality craft outlets around the country.  

All of our real ales showcase Canterbury malts and New Zealand hops. Challenger Special Bitter is dry hopped with NZ Styrian Golding and Hopback IPA uses generous quantities of NZ Cascade hops.  

Our range also includes a couple of lagers, taking German recipes and giving them a New Zealand twist.  Sauvin Pilsner is brewed with plenty of Nelson Sauvin hops late in the boil.  Our Kolsch is hopped entirely with Pacifica (NZ version of the German Hallertau noble hop) hence the name 'Pacifikolsch'.  

You will find both our Sauvin Pilsner and Hopback in 500ml bottles in selected supermarkets and bottle stores.  If you are lucky, you may even come across our seasonal release 330ml bottles of Enigma Barley Wine or Nokabollokov Imperial Russian Stout.
